About Marcel Bigue
Born in the City by the Bay and raised in Jesuit tradition, I am a consummate PMP certified professional with a deep sense of social justice and environmental stewardship. I offer over 20 years of experience in managerial and technical positions working on initiatives spanning marine protected areas management, regulatory compliance, organizational capacity building and international development. I am engrained with an owner's mentality and well versed in all key roles of program management - program design and evaluation, finance, human resources, resource acquisition and communications.
Over my career, I have spearheaded numerous large-scale initiatives - a multi-sectorial disaster response for 15,000 families, Acrow bridge installations for areas cut off by floodwaters, an effective marine compliance model resulting in measurable biomass recovery and improved livelihoods, comprehensive institutional needs assessments in 12+ countries, among others. As a continuous learner, I strive to find innovative and systematic approaches to challenging problems and craft actionable programmatic blueprints. I thrive on distilling the essence of complex issues and working with teams and non-traditional allies on program execution.
